"Simulations provide the environment in which the culture of the target language can be experienced; they generate a reciprocal relationship between culture and communication” (Crookall and Oxford, 1990)
The goal is to teach interpersonal skills to ESL learners in a dynamic and engaging way. Demonstrating good interpersonal skills can be done through an instructional simulation video in a way that is not possible to teach through printed text or role play.
